Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Hanukkah. Three holidays, all in December, and all seen as highly religious.
But are they really? Well, of course they do have religious backstories, but do you necessarily need to be religious to enjoy them? The thing about these holidays is that they all place a great deal of emphasis on togetherness, and giving, and caring. If you take all that away, what exactly are you celebrating? Your religion?
I firmly believe that nobody needs to be religious to enjoy these holidays. You can be an atheist and still find enjoyment in Christmas.
